Beauty TIPS: Getting rid of pimples

Recently I was wondering on what to write for our blog since I cannot upload pictures yet and I was really stressed these past few days and pimples are showing due to my beauty dilemma. Anyways, I have decided to tackle about pimples and its home remedies.

Acne or pimples usually starts during puberty and fades during adolescent stage but depends on how we take care of our skin. It is most frequent on our faces but in some instances it will appear on our chest, back and upper outer arm.

Here is a video that explains the pathophysiology of acne or pimples.

Sebaceous gland produce a substance called sebum. It is an oily fluid substance that helps in the moisturization of our skin. If sebum traps in the pores thus acne or pimples developed.

Tips on how to take care of your skin:

  • Wash your face: This is just in our daily routine but still some people forget to do this because they are tired from work or they are doing something else. Do this twice a day preferrable when waking up and then before we sleep. Use mild soap to prevent irritation in our skin. For those people who wear a  make up please do not forget to remove it and wash your face.
  • Do not "pop" pimples: It is very tempting to do this (even i did  this sometimes..hehe)  this  can cause infection to your skin and may lead to scarring of the skin.
  • Avoid touching your face: Our hands are like always dirty and If we touch our face, bacterias and dirt may enter and causes the clogging of our pores that may lead to having pimples. We should always clean our hands and use sanitizers if possible.
  • Eat tomatoes: My mom always encourages me to eat fresh tomatoes, because according to her you can have a good skin by eating tomatoes. Well mother's knows best so we better follow our mother's advices..hehe

Did  you know? Tomatoes are a good source of lycopene that fights cancer producing cells.

  • Eat foods rich in vitamin A: This vitamin produces retinol that helps our eyes adjust to sunlight or light and helps moisturizes our skin.
  • Eat foods rich in Zinc: Zinc is an oil producing  gland that according to some studies can help prevent acne. Zinc products in the form of zinc gluconate or sulfate help heal blemishes in our skin and helps regulate our skin from oil.
Did you know? Zinc has an antimicrobial properties that help in the relief of gastroenteritis ( an inflammation of the stomach and the intestines).

I  hope that through this blog i can help those who have problems regarding acne or pimples.
Remember guys Beauty is not just from our personal appearance, beauty also comes from within.^^,
